Wandermonks was born out of a simple yet powerful idea — to help people experience the peace and magic of the mountains. Our founder, Nikhil Chauhan, originally from Uttarakhand, has always shared a deep connection with nature and the Himalayas. What started as a personal love for the hills soon became a mission to let others feel that same calm, freedom, and joy. That passion slowly turned into his purpose – and eventually, his profession. Interestingly, Wandermonks was first called Start-ab, a mix of “startup” and his love for travel. But everything changed on a trip to Spiti Valley, when a friend casually said, “You wander a lot, bro.” That line stuck. And just like that, Wandermonks was born — combining the spirit of a wanderer with the peace of a monk. One early memory still stays close to our heart — during just our second trip, a traveler turned to Nikhil and said, "This was a worthy trip, friend." That moment made it clear — this is what we were meant to do.
